Terms of Trade
We prefer bookings to be made through our website but we also accept bookings by phone, fax, or email. Website bookings can be confirmed by providing credit card details via our secure server. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Amex and JCB cards and you will need to provide the card number, cardholder name as it appears on the card & expiry date. No charge will be made against the card prior to your arrival date unless cancellation charges apply. Other bookings can be confirmed by providing credit card details as above or by the payment of a 30% deposit (cash or cheque) with the balance due 7 days prior to your arrival. We respond to all enquiries as quickly as possible but in any event within 12 hours.
Check In/Check Out -
Check in is from 15.00 and check out is by 10.30. We always try to accommodate requests for early check in or late check out – and you are welcome to leave luggage with us if your room is not ready.
Cancellation policy -
Due to our size, any cancellation will affect us significantly. If you have to cancel your booking we shall do our best to re-let the room. However, in the event that we are unable to replace a cancelled booking the following charges apply:
Cancellation within 30 days of arrival date: 30% of the total cost will be charged.
Cancellation within 7 days of arrival date: 100% of the total cost will be charged.
We recommend that you take out a good quality travel insurance policy to cover against late cancellation.
For the comfort of our guests our home is non-smoking in all rooms. You are, however, welcome to smoke outside in the garden, on the verandas and on the deck.
We regret that we are unable to accommodate children under 12 years of age or pets.
Minimum Stays -
At certain times of the year we operate a minimum 2 night stay policy. If this applies it is clearly shown when you check our availability or make a booking.
Christmas and Statutory Holidays -
There are no surcharges on these days but we do not accept bookings involving arrival or departure on Christmas Day.
We do not sell individual customer names or other private profile information to third parties and have no intention of doing so in the future. All the personal information we collect from you when you make an enquiry or booking will only be used to enable us to provide the requested services, to contact you regarding those services or to provide you with information about Muritai Manor and any associated activities. This information will be stored securely and will only be released to third parties if we are making a booking with them on your behalf.
